NPC Bikini Master & Studio City Fitness Gym Co-Owner, Marianna Trofimova with Marco Derhy
As part of our Series “Inspiring success stories,” I had the pleasure of interviewing Marianna Trofimova. Marianna is an NPC Master figure & Bikini Model, certified nutritionist & personal trainer, and Studio City Fitness Gym co-owner. She grew up in Moscow, Russia, where she did her first fitness competition. She studied gymnastics, dancing, and fashion modeling and participated in beauty pageants. After graduating from the University, she moved to Los Angeles, CA., and opened Studio City Fitness Gym. As a gym owner, she participated in more fitness contests. She has won multiple NPC Bikini Class Championships, and this success has landed her airtime on fitness infomercials. When Marianna works with clients, she focuses on both the spiritual and physical aspects of the body, trying to explain that everything is connected, like our thoughts, actions, and results. After more than 30 years of experience in the health & fitness industry, she offers professional insight to those interested in change.
Thank you for joining us today, Marianna! Can you briefly outline for our global readers your life’s backstory?
Marianna: I came from Moscow, Russia, about 25 years ago and opened a fitness club with my ex-partner. I am an NPC bikini master, trainer, and licensed massage therapist. I graduated from the University of Humanity with a bachelor of art in arts.
You Co-own Studio City Fitness Gym. What led you to this creation?
Marianna: My passion for fitness, a healthy lifestyle, and helping others to achieve their goals, specifically after my mom’s death from cancer. I dedicated myself to supporting and educating others to prevent cancer and be healthy.

What has been your greatest challenge so far since you co-founded this gym? Do you have a story to share about that?
Marianna: Since the pandemic, everything has been shifted online via Zoom. The Gym, as of today, is closed to the public. I currently train at my private facility.
You have won multiple NPC Bikini Class Championships, which has landed you airtime on fitness infomercials. How fulfilled do these feats make you feel?
Marianna: I am very blessed and happy with my achievements! Surviving the most difficult times here as an immigrant and having people betray me, I still achieve a lot no matter what. The downtime makes me move! I am a true believer!
With more than 30 years in the health and fitness industry, how are you helping people looking to become healthier?
Marianna: I am blessed that I can help and share my knowledge with people I meet in my life. I set up nutrition and fitness programs for my clients. I am happy when they are happy achieving their goals!
What advice would you give someone hoping to start living a healthy and fit life?
Marianna: My advice is to focus on a healthy lifestyle and people that motivate you! Start with one little thing. Believe it’s going to work. Do it every day. Repeat till you see results!
Are there any particular personal projects you’re currently working on? Would you like to share?
Marianna: I am working on my video to show how to stay in shape, eat right and have longevity.
Do you have a favorite “life lesson” or quote that profoundly impacted your life? Please share with us.
Marianna: “Don’t give up; you will be brought up!” Yogi Bhajan — spiritual teacher, and mentor. When you feel down, distracted, lost , or betrayed, that’s when you most need to believe in GOD and God’s miracles! God is there for you to help you and love you no matter what. Believe, and surround yourself with people that are true to you, support you, and love you but when you don’t have that, you gotta know GOD is there!
Some of our readers are potential nutritionists and Bikini models. What are the “secrets to success” for those hoping to learn and take a similar career path?
Marianna: The path is not easy. Being always beautiful and in shape no matter what it’s hard work. Discipline, persistence, believing, doing it, keeping positive and strong. I am like a phoenix bird rising from the ashes! “Life is one! — live it! Experience it! Don’t regret it!” — Marianna T.
Understanding that none of us can achieve success without a bit of help, is there a particular person you are grateful to, someone who helped get you to where you are?
Marianna: I am very grateful to my parents; my dad, particularly, is a great achiever and a very successful person (Ph.D. in military science, general mayor of the Russian military army, been awarded by Putin for his achievements). My mom is pure love. I am so blessed to have so much love from the angels!

Marianna: Tony Robbins is one of the greatest motivators and mentors. I would consult with him.
Is there a person in the world with whom you would love to have a private breakfast or lunch? If so, why? (He, or she, might see this)
Marianna: I would talk to the president of the USA. I want to spread peace and love, and I want people to unite in harmony. I like peaceful solutions to problems. I want to educate people, so they make the right choices. I want to change the healthcare industry.

Marianna: Live consciously, stand true to yourself, and stay connected to God!
